Metering Europe Returns to Amsterdam in October as Utility Industry Faces Unprecedented Challenges

Some 6500 utility professionals will gather in Amsterdam from 9-11 October for the annual Metering, Billing/CRM Europe at what has become the largest industry conference and exhibition on the continent. Co-located events are Smart Homes 2012 and Transmission & Distribution/Smart Grids Europe. The event features more than 200 high-level industry expert speakers and the largest industry exhibition on the continent with more than 320 solutions providers, including global leaders such as Siemens, Deutsche Telekom, Landis+Gyr, Toshiba, Intel and Schneider Electric.

Smart Homes & Smart Grids

The pace of development of smart home technology has surprised the market and technological innovation, partnering and customer engagement are all key themes which are explored at the Smart Homes conference and exhibition, which will gather utilities, telcos and appliance manufacturers.

Liander's Energy Experience

Four key stakeholders in the Dutch energy landscape, utility Liander, Siemens, KPN and TNO, are joining forces at this year's Metering Europe with an "Energy Experience" on the exhibition floor which will demonstrate how smart grids are changing industry and society.
