Metro Detroit based New Radio Media announces a digital streaming entertainment network offering live and on demand audio and video content
13 shows are available with plans for at least 50 more by the end of 2018
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., March 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- New Radio Media based in Farmington Hills, MI, announced today the launch of its digital streaming entertainment network offering original online audio and video content accessible across connected platforms. Content of the shows will feature topics of interest to metro Detroiters often with a hyper-local focus and offering local talent a much-needed outlet. The announcement was made today by Paul Bensman, CEO of New Radio Media, LLC.
Accessible via the New Radio Media App NRMStreamz and New Radio Media website,13 shows are part of the current line-up across five channels: Business, Lifestyle, Community, Geektainment and Arts and Entertainment. More channels will be added soon including Sports and News. Shows available to watch live or download later are: Geektainment Weekly (2-3 p.m. Fridays); Motor City Juke Joint (7-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays); Get it to the Geeks (6-7 p.m. Tuesdays); Your Detroit Live! (11 a.m. Thursdays); Creative Kaleidoscope (6-7 p.m. Sundays); Dear Mary Jane (1-2 p.m. Mondays); Jackie & Co. (7-8 p.m. Mondays); Biz Buys (1-2 p.m. Wednesdays); Talking Biz (8-9 a.m. Saturdays) and Let's Talk Torah (2-3 p.m. Sundays). Shows coming soon include: At Home with the McAllisters (8-10 a.m. weekdays) and Pop that Culture! (10-11 a.m. weekdays). New Radio Media is also offering independent film-makers the opportunity to share their work on NRM's Indie Short Showcase.

Numbers for weekly online radio listening continue to grow. In 2017, 61 percent of Americans aged 12 or older had listened to online radio, up from 57 percent the previous year and continuing an upward year-on-year trend, according to Edison Research. Online radio listening in cars increases each year too, as do listeners who tune into a favorite weekly podcast.
Aside from streaming entertainment, New Radio Media will offer companies entering the digital space an easy and affordable advertising partnership to reach their target audiences. Businesses will also have an option to create videos, tapping into New Radio Media's expertise in high technology video production. Non-profit organizations will be offered special video production rates to help them increase their digital footprint.
New Radio Media currently has 26 employees and occupies 5,000 square feet of space at an office building in Farmington Hills which includes two studios; the company also utilizes a full sound stage in Troy. By the third quarter of this year, up to 14,000 additional square feet will be added, including eight to 10 more studios. New Radio Media also has plans to add live cameras and trucks in 2018.
NRMStreamz is available for free download from the Apple store or Google store. Through the app, listeners will have access to all the shows, including both live and archived; Apple Play and Google Play will provide audiences with entertainment on the go.
