Michael Fein Joins Okapi Partners as Senior Managing Director

NEW YORK, March 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Okapi Partners LLC, a leading proxy solicitation and investor response firm that advises corporations, institutional investors and mutual fund companies, announced it has named Michael Fein as a Senior Managing Director to lead business development efforts as opportunities to advise clients, especially in transaction campaigns and activist situations, continue to grow.

Prior to joining Okapi Partners, Mr. Fein was a principal and founder of Midway Management Partners, a private investment firm that invested over $500 million and raised capital from institutional and individual investors through an international multi-fund platform. He successfully orchestrated numerous restructurings and turnarounds over the last two decades and has sourced and structured more than 350 transactions. He has also assisted in building several businesses through board positions with some of Midway's portfolio companies.

Mr. Fein began his career with Prudential Asset Management Company and served as Director of Marketing for PAMCO's autonomous subsidiary, Matrix Capital Management. He later traded equity derivatives as a Member of the American Stock Exchange and served as Portfolio Manager of a technology-focused fund. Mr. Fein holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
