Michael Officer joins Algal Scientific to lead Sales and Marketing

NORTHVILLE, Mich., Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael Officer now leads Algal Scientific's sales and marketing efforts toward the use of Algamune™ beta-1,3-glucan for livestock animal immune health support and the reduction in the use of antibiotics.  As an accomplished agribusiness executive and Tippie Business School (U. of Iowa) MBA, he brings a diverse background in animal agriculture, strategic planning, product and business development and management.  His BS and MS (animal nutrition) were earned at the University of Missouri.

He was most recently with Transagra International as Vice President of Sales Marketing and brings six years of experience at Novus International where he had responsibilities for their beta glucan product business and immune modulation therapies.  During ten years at Diamond V he was engaged in sales and product management, and product innovation.
