Michael P. Rennard, PE Has Joined LiRo As Vice President, To Head Engineering Design Division

NEW YORK, April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The LiRo Group, a multi-disciplinary design and construction management firm, is pleased to announce that Michael Rennard, PE, has joined the firm as Vice President, and will head its Engineering Business Unit.

In this position, Mr. Rennard will direct all engineering design activities including civil, structural, transportation, traffic, and MEP engineering, as well as landscape architecture. Additionally, he will be responsible for identifying and securing new design opportunities both directly with the various city and state agencies as well as through partnership arrangements.  

Mr. Rennard has a broad range of technical and managerial experience with public works projects in New York City. He has previously held senior management positions at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and the New York City Department of Design and Construction, and served as Chief Engineer in the Office of the New York City Comptroller.  Key projects under his direction included the design of the Croton Water Filtration Plant, reconstruction of Columbus Avenue in Manhattan, upgrade of water treatment facilities on the NYC watershed, and the design and construction of a major intercepting sewer in Staten Island.

In the private sector, Mr. Rennard has held several executive roles, including Manager of transportation and rail staff, Director of Design Build work for federal projects, and Project Principal for major projects in the municipal, state, federal and private sectors.
