Business Advisory Firm Adds Compliance and Regulatory Expert
WASHINGTON, Aug. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ankura Consulting (Ankura) announced today the appointment of Michael Schultz as a Managing Director. Based in the firm's New York office, Mr. Schultz brings more than thirteen years of diverse government and private sector experience to strengthen Ankura's compliance, independent monitoring, and integrity oversight services provided to clients.
Michael Schultz has advised both public and private sector clients on high-profile matters, including complex investigations and litigations, regulatory compliance matters, and government enforcement actions. He has also been at the forefront of both the development and implementation of groundbreaking government initiatives related to public safety.
Before joining Ankura, Mr. Schultz served as a member of the New Jersey Attorney General's executive staff, where he managed the state's high-priority litigations and enforcement actions. In addition, he was responsible for conducting, managing, and overseeing investigations into alleged violations of various statutes, regulations, and ethical rules, including violations of consumer protection and securities laws. Mr. Schultz's role also included advising the Governor's Office and the Governor's cabinet on a wide range of legal and policy matters, and developing and implementing significant government initiatives.
Additionally, Mr. Schultz has experience in the private sector, including as a partner at a law firm, where he represented financial institutions and other businesses in complex litigation and government enforcement actions, and provided compliance and regulatory-related guidance.
