Michael Wildes to Serve as Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law

NEW YORK, July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Wildes & Weinberg P.C. is pleased to announce that Managing Partner, Michael Wildes, will join the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City as Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law this fall. Michael's course will focus on the current legal developments affecting immigration practice, naturalization and the nationality laws of the United States.

Founded in 1976 by Yeshiva University, the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law has a national reputation for a top-caliber faculty and an innovative academic program.

Immigration law runs in the Wildes family: Michael's father, Leon Wildes, has served as an Adjunct Professor at Cardozo for over 32 years. Leon is best known for his successful representation of former Beatle John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono in deportation proceedings in 1976. It was in one of Leon's classes that Michael met his wife Amy, also a practicing immigration attorney, in 1989. Michael recently secured a visa for soccer icon Pele and a green card for famed recording artist Sarah Brightman.

Early in his twenty-plus year career Michael served as a Federal Prosecutor with the United States Attorney's Office in Brooklyn (1989-1993). He also spent two terms in office, as Mayor of Englewood, New Jersey (2004-2010) where he resides with his wife Amy and four children.
