Michigan Automobile Insurance Placement Facility names Mark Wagenschutz as Executive Director
LIVONIA, Mich., April 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michigan Automobile Insurance Placement Facility (MAIPF) today announced that Mark Wagenschutz has been named Executive Director. Wagenschutz will oversee the organization's mission to guarantee that automobile insurance is available to Michigan citizens who are unable to obtain it in the competitive market. He will also lead the MAIPF's Help Eliminate Auto Thefts (H.E.A.T.) Program, which operates a confidential tip line (1-800-242-HEAT) for reporting information about auto theft, carjacking and auto theft-related insurance fraud.
Wagenschutz comes to MAIPF after a 24-year career at insurance firm State Farm where he served in a variety of leadership roles, including most recently as Planning and Strategy Manager. His experience ranges from auto underwriting to auto claims management, customer service and organizational planning.

Wagenschutz holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Hope College and a master's degree in Organizational Communications from Western Michigan University. Wagenschutz also holds CPCU, ChFC and CLU designations.
