Michigan Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Roundtable announces new Officers
DETROIT, Oct. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- "We are fortunate to have many talented Veteran Business Owners in Michigan. I am pleased to announce that two of them have joined the Michigan SDVOB Roundtable: Roderick 'Rod' Rickman, Chairman and CEO of Rickman Enterprise Group, LLC as the Second Vice-President, and Constance Blair, President of Technology Ventures Inc. as Secretary," stated Keith King, President of the Roundtable.
Mr. Rickman, a U.S. Army Veteran, is a recognized Tier 1 diversity supplier to the auto industry. "I'm very pleased to help my fellow Veteran business owners to help expand our contracting opportunities outside of the government market," Mr. Rickman stated.
Ms. Blair, a U.S. Air Force veteran, owns and operates Technology Ventures Inc. the parent company for TVI Logistics and TVI Supply which provide a wide range of logistics, warehousing and supply functions to government and industry. "The Michigan Roundtable is a dynamic group of Veteran Business Owners who are highly organized and are working for Veteran Businesses and I'm proud to join them," said Blair.
Ms. Blair replaces Roundtable co- founder Ed Ronders, retiring Executive Director of the SBA Agency VetBiz Central. "Ed has been a stalwart champion on behalf of veterans and veteran owned business. His energetic support and keen insight has prepared our group for great advancement. We will miss him," said Mr. King. "We are excited to have Rod and Constance join the Roundtable. They have spent their careers as leaders in business. Given their knowledge and reputation in Corporate America, I can't think of any two Veterans that I'd rather have advising me and our board on the next steps needed for us to continue to grow the prospects for Veteran Owned Business in our state and our nation."
