LONDON, January 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
MicroLink, a leading ISP in Zambia, selected DiViNetworks to expand its current Internet connectivity provided by Liquid Telecom, Gateway Communications and soon over EASSY through the Microlink-Gilat joint venture. The DiViCloud service delivers additional capacity over the existing physical link, while improving QoE.
DiViNetworks is a global provider of virtual capacity, offering international and domestic wholesale bandwidth at HALF PRICE. DiViNetworks serves ISPs worldwide, leveraging its DiViCloud network of smart nodes, which generate additional capacity using cutting edge technology.
"DiViNetworks provides the most cost-effective alternative for capacity expansion," says John Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of MicroLink. "DiViNetworks' unique offering enables us to successfully contain the exploding demand for bandwidth in our market."
MicroLink's international data traffic is steered to the DiVicloud PoP in London, using standard peering. The data is compacted without any loss of information and sent to Zambia over the existing Liquid and Gateway links. In Zambia, the compacted traffic meets a device located in MicroLink's premises, which reverts the data back exactly to its original form. Compacting the data makes room for additional traffic over the international link. This added virtual capacity is offered at half price.
"We are glad to have been selected by MicroLink," says Tsahie Lavi, VP Regional Business Unit MEA. "Proliferation of broadband services in Africa is inhibited by the high price of international bandwidth. To satisfy the demand Africa urgently needs affordable capacity, reflected in our booming success in the region."
