MICT: Micronet and Red Bend Collaborate on Over-the-Air Updating Service for Fleet and Mobile Resource Management

(NASDAQ: MICT) announced today that its subsidiary, Micronet, the premier OEM vendor of rugged, automotive-grade tablets and Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM) with more than 1.75 billion Red Bend-Enabled® devices, has collaborated to offer fully integrated Over-the-Air Updating Services for its new Android products line, featuring Guardian System Design (GSD™).

The GSD is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) framework that provides firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates, remote device management, as well as hardware diagnostics and recovery. Micronet's GSD™ delivers significant operational benefits and cost savings over the lifetime of a Tablet and is the first fleet management cloud service offered by a hardware vendor. The announcement was made today at the Telematics Munich event, the largest connected car conference in Europe.

Micronet develops, manufactures and markets computers specifically designed for fleet and mobile resource management solutions and services. Micronet's customers are leading Fleet management Telematics Service Providers (TSPs) that require rugged, high quality, versatile and innovative hardware platforms that are fully programmable for independent application development and system integration.

The GSD™ will first be deployed on Micronet's A-300 series of tablets, starting with the new A-307 which features an advanced open-standards platform that supports Android and Windows CE operating systems.
