Mid-Atlantic Wholesale Produce Company Feeds Hometown Hungry

EPHRATA, Pa., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Four Seasons Produce, Inc., a wholesale distributor of produce and its subsidiaries, is proud to announce a fundraising partnership with Feeding America. Running June 26 through July 4, Four Seasons will donate $0.10 for every case of produce sold and delivered. As part of their efforts in excellence and strong community work, Four Seasons aims to support the communities which they service with the Feeding America donations.

In addition to pledging a portion of sales, Four Seasons is also working with and encouraging suppliers and partners to make a difference. Hunger in the U.S. is a growing issue affecting a significant portion of the American population. One in six people don't know where their next meal is coming from and 14.6% of all households are food insecure. One dollar donated through this effort is the equivalent of seven meals provided for the food insecure of Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.

Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief organization, operates to feed America's hungry via a national network of food banks. More than 37 million low-income individuals facing hunger are served each year, with 14 million of them being children and 3 million being seniors. Participating food banks in the D.C. and Pennsylvania area include Philabundance, Central PA Food Bank, Greater Berks Food Bank and Capital Area Food Bank in D.C.
