MidCap Advisors Opens Dallas/Fort Worth Office; David Gladden Named Managing Director

NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MidCap Advisors, LLC, a New York-based mergers and acquisitions firm, announced today the opening of its Dallas/Fort Worth office. David Gladden joined MidCap Advisors as a Managing Director and will be in charge of the Dallas office. Mr. Gladden will also lead MidCap's Corporate Development Group.

Mr. Gladden has over 28 years of corporate development and M&A experience at International Paper and GAF-Elk Corporation, where he held senior positions in finance, corporate development, sales, marketing and management.

During his career, Mr. Gladden participated in ten major acquisitions ranging in market value from $30 million to $400 million as well as five divestitures ranging from $10 million to $1 billion in value. In these transactions, David developed the M&A strategy, created the valuation models, valued the synergies created, wrote the offer memoranda, contacted prospective buyers, and led the deal negotiations, due diligence, and management presentations.

Based on his corporate experience, Mr. Gladden was asked to lead MidCap's corporate development program to assist mid-size companies and corporate divisions develop and execute successful acquisition and divestiture strategies.
