Middle East Management Book Attracts International Following from the East
DUBAI, November 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Having impacted the lives of business people in the Middle East, Nicolai Tillisch's bestselling book Effective Business in the Gulf: Mastering Leadership Skills for Greater Success is gaining traction in the East. Global publishing houses are recognizing the value of translating the book into other languages as the ties between the Middle East and countries of the East continue to strengthen economically. Currently, Seoul-based publisher Gloseum is translating the book into Korean, in light of South Korea's growing relationship with the Middle East countries.
The book's availability through online portals such as http://www.booksarabia.com as well as in a Kindle version on Amazon has made it accessible to markets that would previously remain unreached. Since the balance in the East/West trade is shifting, the book is regarded as a valuable resource, not only to business leaders who are doing business in the Gulf, but also on a global scale where the world has its eyes on the Middle East. The ongoing Middle East-South Korea ties as well as China's evolving relations with the Middle East indicate that cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi will have an important role in defining business leadership.
China, Japan and South Korea are among the countries that are getting much closer to the region. While the book was initially written for business leaders already in the region, it gives many insights into the region for people new to it. Tillisch, a former McKinsey consultant, says, "The Middle East is an extremely dynamic region with a unique local culture and yet, it has the most multicultural work environment that the world has ever seen."
The book has brought Tillisch great opportunities in spreading the word on effective business leadership through various events. Recent examples include delivering speaking engagements at INSEAD Abu Dhabi, the partnership between HEC Paris (one of the top- rated European business schools) and Qatar Foundation in Doha, as well as The Millionaires' Business Club in Dubai. He says, "I am really grateful for all the positive reactions that I have received from Gulf Arabs, expatriates living in the region and from people all over the world. It makes me proud but also humble to know that people from different walks of life appreciate the book and are prepared to incorporate the principles in their businesses."
