MidSouth Bancorp Announces Full Exercise of Underwriters' Over-Allotment Option

LAFAYETTE, La., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MidSouth Bancorp, Inc. ("MidSouth") (NYSE Amex: MSL), announced today that the underwriters for MidSouth's recent public offering of 2,700,000 shares of common stock have exercised in full their over-allotment option to purchase an additional 405,000 shares of MidSouth's common stock. The Company received net proceeds of approximately $4.9 million from the sale of the additional 405,000 shares of common stock.

Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett, Inc. acted as the sole book running manager for the offering; Sterne, Agee & Leach, Inc. and FIG Partners, LLC were co-managers.
