BALTIMORE, April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Miles & Stockbridge P.C. is pleased to announce it has moved its Baltimore office to 100 Light Street, the 35-story signature Transamerica Tower, bordered by Light, Pratt, Charles, and Lombard Streets in the city's central business district. Yesterday was the first day the law firm's employees worked in their new space, designed by the Washington, D.C.-based architecture and interior design consultancy OPX. Miles & Stockbridge has also unveiled a new logo across the firm.
"This is a milestone moment for our firm," said John B. Frisch, chairman and CEO of Miles & Stockbridge. "We are proud to have called 10 Light Street our home for more than 80 years and to bring the experiences, relationships and values established there to a new space designed for our future. In keeping with this spirit, we also are presenting a new logo that reflects the substance of our long tradition and our readiness to embrace the opportunities in front of us."
The law firm is occupying seven floors and approximately 107,500 square feet of space above ground and 7,500 square feet of space below ground in the tower, which previously served as the headquarters for USF&G Corporation and Legg Mason. More than 275 Miles & Stockbridge employees will work in the building.
The light-filled space is designed to enhance interaction, collaboration and service through open floor plans and an open, internal staircase that connects the firm's floors; glass-front offices; flexible meeting areas; and seamless, upgraded technology for employees, clients and visitors.
"Our new space was designed from the floor up for the ways in which we work with each other and our clients," said Frisch. "We expect it to support energetic collaboration, stellar service and outstanding results in countless ways."
The lease commenced on April 1, 2013 and expires March 31, 2028, subject to two five-year tenant renewal options.
