During his naval career, he served on multiple ships, including the USS Chung-Hoon, a 10,000-ton guided missile destroyer, while being deployed overseas to the Persian Gulf, Red Sea and South China Sea. After his 5-year military service commitment concluded, he turned to competitive golf full-time in 2009. He is currently ranked 66 on the PGA Tour FedEx standings and will play at the 2015 Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii on Jan. 9-12.
