Minyanville Media to Host 5th Annual Festivus Charity Event

NEW YORK, Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --On December 2nd, Minyanville Media, the Emmy Award-winning financial content and community platform, will host its fifth annual holiday "Festivus" event at Hill Country Barbecue in New York City to benefit The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education.

Over 500 professionals from the financial, media, and philanthropic spectrums are expected to attend, including Larry Leibowitz, Chief Operating Officer of the New York Stock Exchange, Pimm Fox of Bloomberg TV, Jeff Saut of Raymond James, and John Hope Bryant, Founder and CEO of Operation HOPE. Professors, partners, investors, employees, friends, and family from the Minyanville community will also be in attendance.

Guests of the event will celebrate the holiday season with three live bands, all-you-can-eat barbecue, a top shelf open bar, and a silent auction, which will include the LOUIS XIII Limited-Edition Le Jeroboam crystal decanter graciously donated by the House of Remy Martin. From an exclusive collection limited to one hundred decanters, the LOUIS XIII Le Jeroboam, Number 13 of 100, is the only decanter from the global series offered in the United States. The decanter is valued at $26,000.

Net proceeds from the event's sold tickets, auction, and donations will benefit The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education. The charity organization, begun by Todd Harrison, Minyanville's Founder and CEO, is dedicated to promoting creative educational programs and providing children opportunities to learn regardless of socioeconomic classifications, physical challenges or geographical boundaries.
