Mirial Cooperates with QTCT to Take First Step into China Market
SHANGHAI, March 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Mirial, a pioneer in desktop and mobile video conferencing, announced a few days ago that it had signed a cooperation agreement with QTCT, the most innovative video conferencing service provider in China. As the first and only cooperative partner of Mirial in China at present, QTCT will officially introduce Mirial's high-definition video desktop and mobile products to China (Refer to http://www.qtct.com.cn/index.php/Mirial_en.html for details). The two parties will rapidly establish the distribution network in China, and cooperate in many areas, including market operation, media development, program promotion, industry expansion, and service support, so as to complement each other's advantages, and take advantage of the mobile video and desktop video conferencing industry in China.
In 2011, in the face of an upsurge in the desktop mobile video communication market, QTCT is taking an active response. QTCT plans to recombine several products of its video department to provide more complete and comprehensive solutions for clients. Based on its "better network and better video" philosophy, QTCT has cooperated with domestic providers as well as well-known international video production companies, such as Polycom, LifeSize, Tandberg and Radvision, for many years. QTCT also has rich experience in the field of product promotion, systems integration, customer service, and similar areas.
According to a survey conducted by the American consulting company Gartner, by 2015, more than 200 million workers worldwide will be participating in high-definition video conferences on their computer desktops. The expenses allocated to corporate desktop video conferencing will increase from 13.9% of the IT budget to one-third of all corporate video conferencing expenditure.
Said Vivian Gao, CEO of QTCT, "Because more and more companies, enterprises and public institutions now recognize that the use of video conferencing systems will greatly save time and travel costs, we believe that a pioneer in the industry of mobile and desktop video communications like Mirial will have more room for development in China compared with the costly traditional video conferencing system. On the backdrop of the significant acceleration of wireless broadband network speed in China, it is possible for enterprises and clients to enjoy high-definition desktop video conferences and mobile-terminal video conferences of high quality quickly and conveniently, thereby sharing growth with clients and cooperative partners alike."
"Working with local partners is strategic for Mirial, especially in a market like China," said Andrea Pierani, head of Mirial's Asia-pacific operations. "The cooperation with QTCT will help us to enter the market making our products and solutions recognized and accepted by Chinese customers."
