JERSEY CITY, N.J., Jan. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Mjolner Shipping LLC ("Mjolner" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin M. Wise as Mjolner's new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Wise, a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy with over 14 years' experience in the shipping industry, joined Mjolner as President and Chief Operating Officer in March of 2013. Under his direction, Mjolner's commercial management client base has grown steadily and delivered first class services to its Owners and Charterers alike. Mr. Wise will retain the role of President along with CEO.

Robert J. Lyons, the company's Chief Executive Officer since inception, will assume the role of Board Chairman. Mr. Lyons commented on the transition "Kevin has been the driving force in growing this company since he joined us. Under his leadership, Mjolner will continue to chart its own course while enhancing and expanding its offered services."

Jonathan Jackson, currently a Vice President, has been named the company's Chief Commercial Officer.
