M.K. Bailey Law Offices Welcomes Attorneys to Oklahoma City Firm

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- M.K. Bailey Law Offices in Oklahoma City has added two new attorneys to the firm's roster, expanding the firm's expertise in both criminal law and civil litigation.

Timothy J. Synar, of Muskogee, Okla., joined M.K. Bailey Law Offices as Of Counsel in September of 2013, specializing in civil litigation. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Association of Justice (OAJ). Synar's civil areas of expertise include general civil litigation, trial and appellate practice in both state and federal courts, catastrophic and personal injury, wrongful death, commercial motor vehicle and trucking litigation, bad faith litigation, products and premises liability, nursing home litigation, business litigation, and commercial and corporate law. Recently, one of his cases, Young v. Spencer, 2011 OK CIV APP 79, was published as an opinion by the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals.

Throughout his career, Synar has represented both large and moderately-sized Oklahoma businesses in litigation, including major real estate developer Gardner Tanenbaum and Edmond-based Heads-Up Companies, Inc. He has also represented Oklahoma police and fire unions, acting as both a legal advisor for union contracts and representing police officer defendants in grievance disputes.

Hayley V. Potts, of Yeovil, England, has also joined M.K. Bailey Law Offices as Associate Attorney, after successfully completing the July 2013 Oklahoma State Bar. Her primary focus will be in criminal defense, and family and domestic law. Potts also has her English law degree in addition to her recent Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law, and has previously worked for the Oklahoma County Public Defender's Office as an investigator on numerous death penalty cases.
