MKRO Adds New Rail Consulting Subsidiary

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Monkey Rock (OTC Pink: MKRO), d.b.a. Continental Rail Corp., today announced that it has added Transportation Management Services ("TMS"), a short line and regional rail consulting company, as a wholly-owned subsidiary. It also announced that John H. Marino, Sr., founder of TMS, and John Marino, Jr., current CEO of TMS, will both join the Board of Directors of Continental Rail Corp. and are expected to play key roles in advising the company.

TMS is a Michigan based consulting firm established in 1983 by John H. Marino, Sr. and focuses on consulting for the short line and rail freight transportation industry. TMS established key development deals and successful short line railroads in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Maryland. TMS was later sold to John Marino Jr., who was instrumental in securing contracts which eventually became the foundation of RailAmerica. Mr. Marino, Jr. will remain as President of TMS.

As Board members, both John H. Marino, Sr. and John Marino, Jr. will assist in the company's efforts to acquire short line freight railroads and rail-related businesses.  With a combined total of over seventy years of railroad industry leadership and development, both Mr. Marino, Sr. and Mr. Marino, Jr. have successfully acquired and grown railroad companies. TMS was instrumental in obtaining a contract from the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in 1985, to acquire an 85-mile rail line in Michigan, that later became the Huron and Eastern Railway Company. The Huron and Eastern was the cornerstone of RailAmerica, Inc., which eventually was sold to Genesee and Wyoming Inc. for $1.4B in 2012.
