MLV & Co. Announces Formation Of Financials Research Team

NEW YORK, April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MLV & Co., a full service investment bank focused on capital intensive industries, announced today that David Bishop has joined the firm's equity research team as a Senior Analyst focusing on Regional and Community Banks.  Mr. Bishop will spearhead the launch of a new research vertical for the firm, Financials.

Prior to joining MLV & Co., Mr. Bishop was the Southeast/Southwest Bank analyst at Stifel Nicolaus & Company.  In his seven years with Stifel Nicolaus, Mr. Bishop built a coverage universe of 19 stocks and prior to this had been an associate analyst with Legg Mason also covering the Regional and Community Bank space.  Prior to joining Legg Mason, Mr. Bishop was a Senior Research Associate with Kaplan Associates, Inc.  Mr. Bishop holds an M.B.A. from Pace University in Investment Management, and a B.S. from The College of New Jersey in Finance.
