PORTSMOUTH, N.H., May 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Michaeline Daboul, President & CEO of MMIS, Inc., announced Monday that MediSpend® is fully compliant with the final Physician Ownership, Research, and General Payments templates released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on May 7, 2013.
The templates, which are required by the implementing rules under the Physician Payment Sunshine Provisions of the Affordable Care Act, were changed significantly since the first draft publication was released in February 2013.
Review of the templates revealed 62 pages of alterations including edits, new field insertions, and deletions of fields.

The ability to make rapid and regular edits to the MediSpend® software is crucial for customers, Robinson explained, because these current final templates apply only for reports from August 1, 2013 – December 31, 2013. Changes to data templates may be made by CMS and provided to applicable manufacturers and GPOs 90 days prior to first day of data collection for the next reporting year.
