MMJRecs Announces the Launch of a New and Innovative Medical Marijuana App
To Celebrate the Launch of the New App, MMJRecs.com is Offering $5 Evaluations on Memorial Day to Military Veterans who Have PTSD
VENICE, Calif., May 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MMJRecs, an online telemedicine platform that helps medical marijuana patients in California to connect with knowledgeable MMJ doctors, has just launched a new and helpful app. As a spokesperson for MMJRecs.com noted, the new app will allow medical-cannabis patients in California to apply for and get doctor recommendations through their mobile devices.
To help celebrate the official launch of this innovative app, MMJRecs will offer $5 evaluations on Memorial Day, May 30, to veterans of the military who have post-traumatic stress disorder. In order to receive the evaluations, veterans can register through the new app. The first 100 registered veterans per day will qualify for the low-cost evaluation. The app is available through the App store or Google Play.
As Dr. Brian White, co-founder of MMJRecs.com noted, many veterans find it challenging to receive proper health care, including medical marijuana. As he noted, medical marijuana has been found to be an effective treatment for PTSD—a condition that is prevalent among current and former members of the military.
"The process of acquiring medical cannabis can be daunting, particularly for those who are very ill, in pain or otherwise incapacitated," said Faisal Ansari, co-founder of MMJRecs.
"This often makes people hesitant to get the medicine they need—or worse, prevents them from getting it at all. So they continue to suffer—needlessly."
As Ansari noted, MMJRecs is staffed by a team of licensed physicians, complies with all HIPAA regulations, and uses the same cyber-security as banks, which means the website is very safe to use.
