MMV Financial hires industry veteran to lead its Silicon Valley and Western USA effort.

PALO ALTO, CA, May 18 /PRNewswire/ - MMV Financial (MMV) one of North America's pre-eminent specialty finance firms today announced the addition of Robert A. Curley, Jr. to its executive team as it continues to strengthen its presence in the US market. Mr. Curley joins MMV Financial as Senior Vice President and Managing Director. Based in Palo Alto, California, Mr. Curley will be responsible for building a team and for leading the business development activities of MMV in Silicon Valley and the US West Coast. He also will join MMV's executive committee.

Mr. Curley's background includes over 25 years experience in venture equity and debt financing, investment banking and technology lending. Before joining MMV, Mr. Curley spent nearly eight years as General Partner at Pinnacle Ventures, a private venture capital fund focused on providing debt and equity financing to early-stage companies across information technology, cleantech and healthcare sectors Prior to joining Pinnacle, Bob was a Managing Director in Credit Suisse First Boston's (CSFB) Technology Group, leading the Technology Debt Finance unit. In addition, Bob founded and led CSFB Technology Group's Electronics practice which focused on corporate finance and M&A for companies in the electronics supply chain. Prior to the move to CSFB, Bob ran the Debt Finance practice for the DMG (Deutsche Bank) Technology Group. Before joining DMG, Bob was a Senior Managing Director and ran the Mid-Cap Technology Group for Bank of America. Bob joined Bank of America upon its merger with Continental Bank, where Bob founded and ran the Technology Finance Group. Both groups focused on developing corporate finance solutions for emerging companies in the technology and communications industries. Mr. Curley received his BBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame.
