Mobile Value Added Services company accelerates Mobile Music and Self Expression solutions funding Latin America Expansion

BOSTON, Nov. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mariposa Holdings Group announced it has completed its first round of financing solidifying partnerships with some of the largest carriers and telecommunication technology providers in the world. The company has increased deployment of its Mobile Music and Ring Back Tone applications. HOF Capital Fund I led the investment round with participation from investors Overall Capital, GAAP Financial of Brazil, and individuals from the music, telecommunications, and retail- distribution sectors.  The round closed well over $3.5M in debt and equity financing and was 50% oversubscribed seeing significant interest from investors looking to gain access to Mariposa's unique position in the Latin American Mobile Music Market.

Khaled Bichara is CEO and Co-Founder of Accelero Capital and served as Group President and COO of VimpelCom, Group Executive Chairman of Orascom Telecom Holding as well as Chairman of Wind Telecomunicazioni. He ran ten operations across the globe through OTH and Wind Italy and 22 operations across the globe through VimpelCom. Mr. Bichara currently serves as a board member of various telecom and IT companies, including Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding; SUPERNAP International; Joyent; MT Telecom SCRL. He is the chairman of the boards of DADA S.p.A and Italiaonline S.p.A.

Dr. Theodore Moran, member Huawei International Advisory Council, holds the Marcus Wallenberg Chair in International Business and Finance at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. Dr. Moran is founder of the Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy.  He served as Senior Advisor for Economics on the Policy Planning Staff of the Department of State, responsible for trade, finance, technology, and energy issues. He returned to Georgetown after the NAFTA and Uruguay Round negotiations. 

Sebastiano Tevarotto has been the CEO of Wanova, Inc. through its acquisition by VMWare. He serves on the boards of Minerva Networks, HyperFair, and Imagine Communications. Mr. Tevarotto is a veteran of over 25 years in the IT, Telecommunications and Media industry. In his last assignment at HP, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Communications, Media & Entertainment. 

Eduardo Aspesi is a well-known communication sector leader in Brazil with 20 years experience in management and marketing. Currently Mr. Aspesi is the Executive Vice President of Retail at Oi/Telemar one of the largest Telecommunications operators in Latin America. Mr. Aspesi was Chief Marketing Officer of Net Servicos de Comunicacao and Executive Vice President Marketing and Innovation at Vivo/Telefonica.  Mr. Aspesi served CEO of Hispanamar Satelites S.A.

Kenneth Corcoran is a veteran of 35 years in telecommunications.  He is currently serving as CEO of Priority Partners, LLC, a company specializing in representing and consulting upcoming telecommunication providers.  Mr. Corcoran held senior positions within AT&T as well as America Movil serving as CTO of America Movil from 2001 until 2011.
