1. The Los Angeles Unified School District in June approved a deal to spend $30 million on iPads for each and every student in the district.

2. The Guilford County Schools in North Carolina in May confirmed plans to deploy 21,215 Amplify Android tablets to all students in middle school for the 2013-2014 school year.

3. Microsoft announced that it will give away 10,000 Surface RT tablets to registrants for the International Society for Technology in Education conference in San Antonio, Texas in June.

4. The Queensland Department of Education, Training and Deployment in Australia will hand out 14,000 Windows 8 tablets from Acer to high school students this school year.
