Mobstudio's Newest Version of Its Galaxy Social Networking App Introduces iPhone Users to a Virtual World of Fun

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mobile games and social networking company Mobstudio (http://mobstudio.ru/nw/) has made its Galaxy social network application available to iPhone users. The app allows network members to chat with fellow "Galaxians," flirt, date, play online games, share photos and more within a virtual world.

Galaxy Chat & Play 8.0 can be downloaded at no charge from the iTunes Application Store at https://itunes.apple.com/ru/app/id688736068. Although new to the iPhone, the app is already popular among users of Android and feature phones. In fact, Galaxy has more than 24 million fans all over the world, including Russia, India, Indonesia, Brazil and Argentina. "Galaxy is an enjoyable way for users to form friendships across the globe," said Andrey Kamotskiy, CEO of Mobstudio.

Members use Galaxy's thousands of chat rooms to find new friends. They also have the option of creating and decorating their own chat room. The iPhone version includes new emoticons for use in chats and instant messaging.

Galaxy also includes a dating service with a continually-expanding database of 1,500 virtual potential dates. Users can even opt to have a virtual wedding and create a Galaxy family, complete with virtual pets, ranging from terriers to unicorns, to nurture.

Game chat rooms allow members to compete in quiz games or the Four Elements Fight where they engage in combat, using fire, water, earth or air for attack or defense. Members interact with the Galaxy virtual world through customizable avatars and can clothe their avatar in a variety of colorful costumes and clothing that are added to weekly. The iPhone app includes new heads, bodies, auras and more.

Weekly updates keep things fresh with new virtual pets, gifts and contests. Additionally, monthly photo contests provide the opportunity to win virtual credits (Galaxy money that can be spent on clothing items, costumes, gifts, pets and more). Users can also simply share photos and blog posts.
