Modius Adds New Board Members
Benjamin Grimes, founder and CEO of BRG Strategy Group, and Barry Ariko, retired Chairman and CEO of Mirapoint, to join Modius Board of Directors
SAN FRANCISCO, June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Modius Inc., a leading provider of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solutions, today announced that Benjamin Grimes, founder and CEO of BRG Strategy Group, and Barry Ariko, retired Chairman and CEO of Mirapoint, were appointed to the company's board of directors, replacing outgoing board member Philip Elliot.

Benjamin Grimes currently serves as CEO of GRG Strategy Group, a privately held company that provides management consulting services for business strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and engineering team development.
Prior to BRG Strategy Group, Grimes served for 3 years as Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Chief Technical Officer of Avocent Corp. until its acquisition by Emerson in 2010. During his tenure, Grimes was responsible for leading the product and business development of Avocent, including the entire worldwide engineering team.
Prior to joining Avocent, Grimes had a 17-year career with IBM, most recently in the appointed position of Distinguished Engineer, an executive position held from 2002 to 2007. In that role, he served as lead architect for software development for the IBM xSeries and blades.
Grimes currently sits on numerous technical advisory boards for privately held companies, and has served on the board of several non-profit organizations.
Barry Ariko has over forty (40) years of experience in the high technology industry, and retired as the Chairman and CEO of Mirapoint, a provider of email and security appliances, which merged with Critical Path.
Prior to Mirapoint, Ariko was CEO of Extricity a B2B software company which he successful sold in 2001 to Peregrine Systems (later acquired by HP) and was the EVP and COO of Netscape Communications when it was sold to AOL (now part of Time Warner) in 1999.
Ariko currently sits on the board of two public companies: Incyte Corporation, a small molecule drug discovery company based in Wilmington, DE, and is chairman of GLOBO, PLC.
