Monterey County Bank Announces Appointments of Dennis R. Wood and Amarjit Shokeen to Its Board of Directors

MONTEREY, Calif., Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Monterey County Bank announces the appointment of Dennis R. Woods as a Director of Monterey County Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of PCB Financial, Inc, and Amarjit Shokeen as a Director of both PCB and Monterey County Bank. The appointments further enhance the Boards' banking, financial, operational, and entrepreneurial expertise as PCB continues to execute its long-term strategic objectives.

Dennis R. Woods Appointed Director of Monterey County Bank
Mr. Woods brings nearly four decades of community banking leadership and a demonstrated track record of building and scaling a successful financial institution.

In 1987, Mr. Woods was the founding Chairman of United Security Bank ("USB") in Fresno, California. He assumed the additional roles of President and Chief Executive Officer in 1993 and served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer until April 2026, when USB was acquired by Community West Bank.

During his tenure, Mr. Woods guided USB through multiple economic and operating environments and led the institution from de novo formation to more than $1 billion in assets. His experience encompasses strategic planning, financial institution growth, risk management, executive leadership, and community banking.

The Board believes Mr. Woods' extensive banking and executive experience will provide a valuable perspective to the Board and management of Monterey County Bank, particularly as the Bank continues to evaluate opportunities to strengthen its market position and create long-term value for its stakeholders.

Amarjit Shokeen Appointed Director of PCB and Monterey County Bank
Mr. Shokeen is a co-founder of Apolis, a technology and professional services firm and annual revenues of approximately $65 million, and of Welcome Group Inc., a hospitality company operating 12 hotels with approximately $125 million in annual revenues. He built both businesses from inception and has founded or backed a number of earlier-stage ventures across technology and real estate.

As an operator and investor, Mr. Shokeen has assembled and managed capital structures across construction and acquisition financing, working capital facilities, and equity raises. That experience on the borrower side gives him a practical view of how banks underwrite, monitor, and support commercial clients — a perspective the Board expects will inform its oversight of credit strategy and business development.

A father and grandfather, Mr. Shokeen lives in Pacific Palisades, CA with his family.
