
Moody-Nolan Continues Expansion Plans with Hire of Highly-Qualified Architect
Daniel R. Pickett brings 30 years experience to Columbus-based architecture firm
COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Moody-Nolan, the nation's largest African-American owned and operated architecture firm has hired Daniel R. Pickett, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, to its Columbus office. Pickett's time is split between project management and business development.
Pickett brings more than 30 years of architecture experience with an emphasis on commercial building to Moody-Nolan. Pickett's experience is broad and he is well versed in the design of office, sports, aviation, educational, industrial and retail facilities.

He started his career as an intern at Brubaker/Brandt, Inc. and remained in central Ohio working at NBBJ and URS Corporation. He relocated to Jacksonville, Fla. working for Gresham Smith and Partners as a Principal in the Corporate Studio. Eventually, he started Pickett & Associates. The firm's services included architecture, programming and planning, feasibility studies and building conditions assessments.
Besides Ohio, Pickett is a registered architect in Florida, Georgia, Missouri and North Carolina. Pickett is certified through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is a LEED accredited professional. He also is a member of the American Institute of Architects and has been active with many civic organizations in Ohio and Florida.
Pickett earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University and earned a Master of Business Administration from Capital University.
