moovel GmbH welcomes Roland Keppler as Chief Operating Officer

STUTTGART, Germany, Nov. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- moovel GmbH announced today that Roland Keppler will assume the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer, responsible for leading the business operations of car2go worldwide. As the third member of the management board of Daimler's subsidiary moovel GmbH, in addition to Robert Henrich, CEO of the moovel Group and Marcus Spickermann, CFO of the moovel Group, Keppler will report into Robert Henrich, and begin December 1st, 2014.

In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Keppler will be focusing on global growth, developing corporate customers, brand strength, and expanding the company's offerings within the car2go family. Keppler will also oversee the CEO of car2go Europe and car2go North America.

Prior to this appointment, Keppler served as the Chief Executive Officer of Europe's largest car rental company, Europcar Groupe S.A. Previously, Keppler held various business roles at TUIfly, TUI AG Group, and Preussag AG.
