More International Recognition for LightGlass: Vienna-based Smart Glass Company Wins 2016 Glass Magazine Award

VIENNA and WASHINGTON, July 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

The US publication Glass Magazine has announced this year's winners of the 2016 Glass Magazine Awards. The internationally prestigious glass and metal industry award recognises the best products and glass technologies the global glass technology and production industry has to offer. The Vienna-based technology company LightGlass received the award for its "ALED Daylight" technology in the category "Most Innovative Glass Product".

For LightGlass, winning this award represents a major international accolade and top-level recognition of its pioneering technologies in the area of self-illuminating glass. LightGlass technologies are suitable for use in all architectural glass processing industries, irrespective of sector, and are licensed to companies in these industries. Patents granted in the EU and in the United States pave the way for the US market launch set for autumn 2016.
