More Older Adults in California can Access Bedside Dialysis, Behavioral Health and Other Services Thanks to $295,000 in Grants from Health Net

Local programs strengthen support systems for residents in Los Angeles, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties

SACRAMENTO, Calif., July 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Net, one of California's most experienced Medi-Cal managed care health plans and a company of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), recently announced it awarded $295,000 in grants to organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults.

Grant recipients include:

• A Senior Connection (San Joaquin/Stanislaus County) – The grant will support the hiring and allocation of personnel to facilitate the rollout and coordination of the state's Community Supports benefit.
• NewGen Administrative Services (Los Angeles County) – The grant supports the addition of new bedside dialysis units to enhance patient comfort, reduce the risk of complications associated with travel to off-site dialysis centers and improve overall health outcomes.
• ONEgeneration (Los Angeles County) – The grant focuses on the expansion of mental and behavioral health services, ensuring older adults, whether active or homebound, have assistance to enroll and access relevant resources.
• St. Barnabas Senior Services (Los Angeles County) – The grant assists with an upgrade to kitchen infrastructure, ensuring that older adults who use their services will have access to healthy and culturally-centered meals.
• WISE & Healthy Aging (Los Angeles County) – The grant aims to help Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) representatives and emergency services staff to work collaboratively and effectively, ultimately reducing the amount of unnecessary 911 calls across SNF resident populations.
