Morita Group to Exhibit "Habot-mini" at World's Largest International Trade Fair for Public Safety "INTERSCHUTZ 2015" in Germany
TOKYO, May 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
-Future Concept Model of Fire Truck Capable of Extinguishing Fires without Using Water Will Be on Display-
-New System Uses Inexhaustible Air at Disaster Sites to Continually Discharge Nitrogen-Enriched Air-
Morita Group will exhibit the "Habot-mini," a future concept model of the "Miracle N7" fire truck designed to extinguish fires without using water by creating nitrogen enriched air (NEA) at disaster sites including fire scenes, at "INTERSCHUTZ 2015," the world's largest international trade fair for public safety to be held in Hannover, Germany from June 8 to 13.

The "Habot-mini" is equipped with a nitrogen separation membrane and an air compressor, and is capable of continually discharging NEA if there is a reliable power source available, in what is a new fire extinguishing system that is designed to provide disaster response in areas where finding sources of water may be difficult. Its fire extinguishing capabilities will also be on show at the demonstration site that simulates a fire situation.
The "Habot-mini" is a future concept model of the "Miracle N7" fire truck which made its market debut last year and is equipped with the NEA Generating System. The "Miracle N7" was developed as a fire truck with the capability of providing response following major earthquakes. The NEA Generating System mounted on the fire truck can also be used as a backup fire extinguishing device to complement other existing equipment, as well as for preventing explosions (diluting the air) if flammable gases are generated after a disaster (such as around oil storage tanks where there is the risk of flammable gases leaking).
The system can control the concentration of nitrogen-enriched air and maintain an environment that is almost harmless to the human body over short periods of time at oxygen concentrations that prevent combustion (12.5%). The system can be utilized to create non-flammable areas at oil storage bases as well as other places where water damage needs to be avoided, such as museums, art galleries, valuable cultural properties and data centers.
