Rates show a modest decrease of 0.18% from the 6 month high of 5.22% reached on February 10, 2011. More importantly, today's rates reflect a dramatic 0.84% increase in comparison to the industry's historic, all-time low of 4.20% achieved on October 12, 2010.

The 15-year fixed rate mortgage remained flat at 4.32%. Rates for 5/1 ARMs remained flat as well, hovering at 4.15%. In fact, it was a quiet week for mortgage rates across the board.
