Rovi Corporation (NASDAQ:ROVI): Shares of Rovi Corporation (NASDAQ:ROVI) fell to a three-year low on Wednesday after the digital media solutions provider cut its 2012 profit forecast and its stock was downgraded by two brokerages. Rovi announced that its second-quarter profits would come in much lower than Wall Street estimates, and that its 2012 profit forecast had been lowered by nearly one-third on a projection for lower sales. The company's software is popular in several home entertainment systems, and is used to play select digital media formats. Before the stock plunged 43.29% to US$10.01, company officials sold US$86,950 in shares, each valued at US$26.08.
