MotionPortrait Releases Zombie Item Purchase Feature to Celebrate Over 10 Million Downloads of Smartphone App "ZombieBooth" Series

TOKYO, Aug. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MotionPortrait, Inc. announced on August 16 that its ZombieBooth series smartphone app recently exceeded the 10 million-download mark in total. To celebrate this milestone, an item purchase feature (to be paid for) that allows customization of zombie images created was launched from August 3 (Fri), beginning with the Google Play (Android) version. ZombieBooth is an app that allows users to transform themselves into realistic-looking 3D zombies simply by taking a facial photo. Zombies wander around looking for human flesh while moaning and groaning, luring those who see them to a world of fear.

This new feature allows users to customize the zombie image created by adding items such as head coverings, eyes, mouths and wounds to create their own original zombie. The app is purchased using virtual money, with a choice of 66 items from customized buttons at the bottom left of the zombie image screen that allow users to create more than 500,000 types of zombie. Images and videos of customized zombies can be stored on mobile phone terminals and shared with friends, via e-mail, Twitter and Facebook.

ZombieBooth adopts the latest facial compositing technology of MotionPortrait, Inc. and was released in April 2010 in the iPhone (iOS) version series, followed by the Google Play (Android) version.
