(NYSE: MOT) today introduced its WiMAX Evolution solution for operators to upgrade existing WiMAX 802.16e / 802.16e Enhanced networks to 802.16m or TD-LTE or to add LTE to their existing WiMAX networks. Customized for rapidly spreading 4G networks, Motorola's enhanced WiMAX offering is based on a single RAN (Radio Access Network) solution that supports existing technology and provides operators with a cost-effective way to upgrade their network offerings, preserving capital and protecting investments.

Motorola WiMAX access points are easily upgradeable to 802.16m (WiMAX 2), TD-LTE, FDD LTE or LTE-Advanced, meeting the needs of and providing significant cost benefits to all operators.
