
Mountain Water Co. begins water main project on Hilda Avenue
MISSOULA, Mont., Oct. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mountain Water Company is asking area commuters and residents to expect detours and be alert to project crews as the company undertakes a water main replacement project on Hilda Avenue.
Starting October 13, Mountain Water crews will begin work to replace a 90-year-old main on Hilda Avenue with a new 12-inch ductile main. Hilda Avenue will be closed between Evans and Beckwith for the duration of the project. Please drive slowly in the area and pay attention to traffic control devices.
The $125,000 project, part of Mountain Water's ongoing infrastructure improvement initiative, is expected to wrap up by October 24. Commuters who drive, walk or bike through the area are urged to keep apprised of project updates posted at mtnwater.com or on Mountain Water's Facebook page (Facebook.com/MountainWaterCo).
