Mountainview Secures USD$5.5 Million Revolving Line Of Credit

CUT BANK, MT, April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Mountainview Energy Ltd. ("Mountainview" or the "Company") (TSXV: MVW) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with First Interstate Bank (the "Bank") pursuant to which the Bank has agreed to provide Mountainview with a USD$5.5 million, one-year revolving line of credit (the "Facility").  The Facility is renewable annually. Amounts borrowed under the Facility will bear interest at a floating rate based on the applicable U.S. prime rate plus between 1.25% (subject to a rate floor of 5.25%).  The Company will be required to pay a 1.0% origination fee for the Facility.

Mountainview intends to use the Facility to: (a) repay the outstanding principal and interest amounts owing to an affiliate of an insider of the Company (the "Lender") under a loan agreement pursuant to which Mountainview borrowed USD$2.0 million from at an annual interest rate of 8.0% on January 12, 2012; (b) fund its exploration and development activities particularly with respect to its emerging plays, including the Bakken and Three Forks Shale in the Williston Basin and the South Alberta Bakken play; and (c) for general corporate purposes.

Mountainview is a public oil and gas company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, with a primary focus on the exploration, production and development of the Bakken and Three Forks Shale in the Williston Basin and the South Alberta Bakken play.
