"Moving Wall" Vietnam Veteran's memorial to be featured during July 4 Millersburg bicentennial celebration
MILLERSBURG, Ohio, June 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Millersburg's bicentennial Fourth of July festivities will take time to honor U.S. service personnel who died in the Vietnam war.
The northeastern Ohio town will host the Moving Wall, a half-size replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Moving Wall display lists the names of U.S. servicemen who died in the conflict from 1958 - 1975.
The wall display will be part of Millersburg's bicentennial celebration. The county seat of Holmes County, Millersburg was laid out by Charles Miller as a village in 1815.
Judy Lamp, Historic Downtown Millersburg executive director, said scheduling the Moving Wall takes months of preparation and is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for veterans, their families, and those who appreciate the sacrifices made by our men and women serving in the U.S. armed forces.
"Because we owe so much to our veterans, we think it is a very appropriate addition to our bicentennial Independence Day celebration," Lamp said.
The Moving Wall will be displayed at Hipp Station at the Holmes County Trial and will be open for 24 hours a day starting Friday, July 3 at 9 a.m. During opening ceremonies 6:30 p.m. July 3, Holmes County will honor four local men who gave their lives in the Vietnam War. Volunteers will be standing by to assist in finding names of the fallen on the wall.
Shuttle service will available to the Moving Wall display from downtown.

Children's games, including human bowling, human foosball and an obstacle course will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday July 3 and from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday July 4.
