CHENNAI, India, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MPS Limited today announced that its Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) has been certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023, the world's first international standard for AI management systems. The certification was awarded by DNV Business Assurance, which is accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA), following a comprehensive multi-stage audit, and confirms that MPS develops, deploys, and manages AI under a governed framework covering risk assessment, human oversight, data governance, transparency, and accountability across the AI lifecycle.
Publishers, universities, and learning companies increasingly want to know who is accountable when AI acts on their content, and whether anyone outside the vendor has checked. ISO/IEC 42001, published by the International Organization for Standardization in December 2023, was written so those questions can be answered with evidence.
What the Certification Covers
The certificate applies to MPS Limited across its delivery centers in Chennai, Noida, Dehradun, and Bangalore, and is valid from August 25, 2026, through August 24, 2029, maintained through annual surveillance audits. The certified management system covers the planning, development, deployment, operation, monitoring, and continual improvement of AI systems for digital learning, scholarly publishing, and platforms, along with associated AI-enabled products and services. This includes AI-driven solutions; AI-enabled content authoring, editorial, and integrity tools; and AI-based analytics and personalization features. Under the certified framework, every AI initiative within the certified scope is subject to structured risk and impact assessment, defined controls, and continuous monitoring.
What This Means for Clients
For MPS clients, the certification gives legal and procurement teams externally validated answers to the questions that increasingly decide enterprise AI adoption: how AI systems are governed, how client content and data are protected, how human oversight is maintained, and how risk is assessed and managed.
