Mr. Gary Sugar joins Romarco Board of Directors

TORONTO, March 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (TSX: R) (the "Company") is pleased to announce Mr. Gary A. Sugar has joined the Board of Directors.

Mr. Sugar has had a long and distinguished career in the investment banking industry retiring recently after 32 years with RBC Capital Markets, including 24 years as a Managing Director. During his tenure at RBC, Mr. Sugar led numerous equity and debt offerings and merger and acquisition transactions for a wide range of Canadian and international mining companies.  He provided on-going merger and acquisition and other advisory services to mining companies and provided oversight of corporate banking relationships.

Prior to Mr. Sugar's career in investment banking, he worked in various roles in corporate development, as a mining consultant and field geologist. Mr. Sugar holds a BSc in Geology and a MBA, both from the University of Toronto.
