Mrs. Wellington, Karyn Turk Crowned Mrs. Florida, U.S. Continental 2016

PALM BEACH, Fla., June 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Before a large audience of supporters, family and friends, Karyn Turk, Wellington Florida resident and business owner, captured the coveted title of Mrs. Florida 2016 (U.S. Continental) on Sunday, May 29th 2016, after two days of competition.

The Mrs. Florida, U. S. Continental Pageant recognizes and celebrates accomplishments of married women who are dedicated leaders in their communities and families www.mrsflorida.com. During the next year of her reign, Karyn will be looking for women who want to represent their communities and compete for next year's title.

Mrs. Turk's platform is foster care/adoption and Alzheimer's awareness. She was adopted at a very young age and now cares for her elderly mother who is suffering with Alzheimer's. She is an active member of Place of Hope's, Angel Mom leadership board, where she serves as the VP of corporate and community relations. Her and her husband, E.W. Turk are also godparents for JAFCO. She is a committee member for the Alzheimer's association, Walk to End Alzheimer's, West Palm Beach. They are proud residents of the Village of Wellington and Karyn has a business based in Wellington, FL. During polo season they are regular fixtures at the International Polo Club. The couple hosts many charities, entertains supporters at their private polo tent and hosts many other events throughout the year. They are regularly involved in dozens of charitable causes. They do this while managing to juggle their large family that includes six children and a grandson.
