MS Transverse Appoints Three New Members to Board of Directors

WARREN, N.J., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MS Transverse today announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Michael Angelina, Bryan Sanders and Kevin Traetow.

• Michael Angelina, ACAS, MAAA, CERA, is an insurance professional with 40 years of experience as a qualified actuary, former chief risk officer and director across the insurance and actuarial industries. He served as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Actuary of Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Endurance Specialty Holdings, where he led global pricing, reserving and risk management functions, and spent more than 16 years at actuarial consulting firm Tillinghast. Over the past 14 years, Mike has served on the boards of several insurance organizations, including Coaction Specialty, Equator Re Ltd., Hagerty Inc., and RLI. Angelina currently serves as Executive in Residence of the Maguire Academy of Insurance and Risk Management at Saint Joseph's University, having previously served as its Executive Director from 2012 to 2021.
• Bryan Sanders brings more than 40 years of leadership experience in specialty insurance, underwriting, distribution, mergers and acquisitions and enterprise strategy. He most recently served as Chairman, U.S. Wholesale & Specialty for Markel, and previously held executive roles at Alterra Specialty, Hilb Rogal & Hobbs and MacDuff Underwriters. Sanders is a past president of the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) and has received the WSIA Vincent Donahue/Charles McAlear Industry Award and the Insurance Insider U.S. Lifetime Achievement Award. He holds a degree from Kent State University along with the Chartered Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations, and serves on the board of directors of Operation Healing Forces.
• Kevin Traetow retired from Aon in April 2026 after nearly 40 years in the industry, most recently serving as U.S. Vice Chairman of Aon Reinsurance Solutions. He previously served as Co-President of Aon's U.S. Reinsurance business, overseeing more than 900 colleagues, and held leadership roles on Aon Reinsurance's global executive committee and Aon plc's executive leadership team. Traetow led some of the largest property catastrophe reinsurance placements in the market and is widely respected for his client advocacy and mentorship of industry talent. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Real Estate and Insurance from Minnesota State University, Mankato and the ARe designation.
