MSPmentor Announces 10th Annual MSPmentor 501 Ranking of the Top Managed Services Providers in Information and Communications Technology

NEW YORK, June 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, MSPmentor announced the 2017 edition of the MSPmentor 501, the information and communication technology (ICT) industry's largest and most comprehensive ranking of leading managed services provider (MSP) organizations.

First unveiled in 2007, the 2017 edition of the MSPmentor 501 (MSP 501) has been optimized to be the most complete, accurate and forward-looking study available on the managed service provider (MSP) market. This year's list and study examines the business models, technologies, vertical markets and customer segments that matter most to MSP companies.

The 2017 MSP 501 again leverages the new and improved ranking methodology, first unveiled in 2016. The improved ranking algorithm distinguishes the MSP 501 as the definitive benchmark by which MSP organizations are compared, year after year.

The 2017 MSP 501 companies reported combined revenue (based on 2016 sales) of $14.48 billion in total revenue (based on 2016 results), up more than 15 percent from a year earlier. Of that figure, $4.30 billion was recurring revenue, an increase of nearly 13 percent from $3.81 billion in 2015.

Companies on the 2017 MSP 501 reported 41,915 full-time employees (FTEs) on Dec. 31 of 2016, up nearly 12 percent from 37,487 at the end of 2015. On average, MSPs on the 2017 list generated $190,000 per employee.

Softchoice Corporation – Toronto, Ontario (Canada)
Carousel Industries – Exeter, RI
Forsythe Technology, Inc. – Skokie, IL
