Mu Dynamics to Present at the 6th Annual IIT VoIP Conference and Expo

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Mu Dynamics, Inc. (www.mudynamics.com), the leader in testing next-generation network services, today announced that Thomas Maufer, director of technical marketing at Mu Dynamics will present at the VoIP Conference and Expo on October 14, 2010 at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT).

His first presentation, "Scale Testing of SIP Proxies: Finding the Performance Ceiling", will be held on Thursday, October 14 from 3:00 – 3:30 p.m. Mu Dynamics and IIT collaborated with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Benchmarking Methodology Working Group (BMWG) to define benchmarks for SIP-based VoIP services. These benchmarks were executed using Mu's Studio Scale solution, which identified the performance ceiling of certain proxy implementations. This session will cover test methodology and test results in addition to providing strategies for how companies can avoid these failures in the future.

The second presentation, "Automation of IMS Forum's Diameter BaseTest Plan" will be held on Thursday, October 14 from 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. Mu Dynamics worked with IIT students to create automated versions of 46 test cases from the Diameter Base protocol test plan. These conformance tests cover the requirements that any Diameter implementation should support within modern VoIP and VoLTE network deployments. This session will review the findings and demonstrate the process of running a test against a live Diameter implementation in IIT's VoIP lab.

The 6th Annual VoIP Conference and Expo will bring together technical professionals and executives from the data and telecommunications industry, standards bodies, government agencies and the business community.
