MUOS Labs Announces the Development of Four New Military Antennas
IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MUOS Labs, an Irvine based Military Communications Research and Development Company, announces the development and release of four new antenna models adding to its existing broad line of UHF SATCOM & MUOS Military Antennas. The new antennas are available in various forms and options that are intended for use by the US Military for aerial, maritime or terrestrial applications. Most models take advantage of the recently released Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). This is the next generation, narrow band military Satellite Communication (SATCOM) System deployed to address the challenges of conventional technologies and the mobility requirements for tomorrow's Military and Defense.

MUOS will provide dramatic increases in military communications, with simultaneous voice, video and data communications in remote and rugged terrains, unaffected by weather, foliage or environmental elements virtually anywhere in the world.
The new MUOS SATCOM System is now being implemented by the Department of Defense (DOD). It will extend the communication capabilities of mobile users (e.g. aerial and maritime platforms, ground vehicles and dismounted soldiers) far beyond their lines-of-sight.

1) The ML9081 MINI HANDHELD MANPACK (3 in 1 Antenna; Pistol-Grip, Magnetic-Mount or Tripod-Mount): This unit brings to the US Forces the latest and most advanced HMS Handheld Tactical Satellite antenna on the market today. MUOS Labs is proud to introduce a hybrid HMS antenna designed to resolve the major shortcomings of currently handheld units while maintaining portability, durability and high gain. Users of this antenna have the added convenience of three setups from a single component, namely Pistol Grip, Magnetic-Mount or Tripod-Mount. Optional attachable directors help ensure reliable communications even in remote arctic, desert or jungle environments. It can be easily adjusted to azimuth and elevation angles for best performance. This antenna is especially important for use by the Military as well as Civil Services and Defense.

2) The ML9090 X-WING (available in 3-Versions namely Fixed Elements, Foldable or Replaceable Elements): This is a dual function (Hi-Lo angle) UHF/MUOS SATCOM and LOS antennas which has centrally located elements. Each element has a separate RF feed, capable of full hemispheric coverage. Its ruggedized construction offers high performance, durability as well as foldable and replaceable elements with a slim visual profile. The Foldable and Replaceable models are compact for easy transportation and fast deployment. An excellent choice for paratroopers and fast troop deployment.

3) The ML9078 EGG-BEATER: This unit incorporates geometrically crafted quadrature connected MUOS/UHF dipoles whose carefully designed structure has served the Military with unmatched Low Angle On-The Move satellite communication for both Tactical Ground and Maritime Platforms
